How the hell did you get that? They don't have money for market research so an easy/free alternative is GA. You assumed because they use GA that Google paid them off? That is absurd.
Homebrew is an OSX packages manager. Take a look at the vested interests of Google prying into high permission level access of Apple devices. This is not the same implementation as simply hitting a page in your browser with the GA script.[0]
